Well tonight I attended with Mary the Local Government Information Units Annual Awards for Local Government. I was quite made up as I had been entered into the competition by the City Leadership.
Once in you really do want to win but I was sceptical. Anyway we attended the London Guild Hall’s Livery Hall. A magnificent building in our Capital with more than a thousand years of history. It was simply magnificent just going to the Guildhall.
But imagine my surprise when I won the Communicator of the Year!
I was stunned so off balance I didn’t hear the judges citation! There is a little bit on it here on the video. But its a win for Wednesfield and a win for the City of Wolverhampton….and I have the little glass trophy on my desk to prove it! There were more than two hundred entrants initially! I am pretty proud tonight.
