Councillor Phil Bateman said “I want to thank a local girl for thinking about others in the run up to Christmas. Katrina Williams (aged 16) has initiated and engaged in a charity appeal. This young lady is doing something positive for Christmas….she has arranged with the Ashmore Park Community Association at The Hub at Ashmore Park, to use their premises and the activities going on there – to collect for the Homeless Charity P3
She has asked residents and families, youngsters and senior citizens to donate food for this good cause.
She is requesting youngsters to ask their families “If you’re coming to the Hub for the Christmas Market or Under 12’s Disco this weekend – We’d love you to bring a food donation for Wolverhampton’s P3 Homeless Charity!”
So Katrina you will have my donation…I hope others will also do the same.”
16 year old Katrina Williams originally approached the Ashmore Park Community Association asked for help doing something for those in need. That request has led to the (CA) agreeing that they will be collecting food to take to P3 Charity, a homeless charity based in Bilston, who serve all of Wolverhampton. The (CA) and Katrina will accept tinned and dried food, socks, chocolates and toiletries. Maybe if you’re visiting The Hub you could drop an item or two?
Thanks to Sainsbury’s Wednesfield for the loan of the trolley!
