Tonight I have urgently emailed the Canal and River Trust due to a large oil slick that has been reported on our Canal at Wednesfield -all the way to the Junction with the Main Line Canal to Birmingham.
The report also speaks of three large Birds dead.. I have also informed City of Wolverhampton Council, as they will be interested in the threat to wildlife that the slick has created. The Wyrley & Essington Canal is an official Local Nature Reserve.
There is an importance and urgency in finding and locating the source of the Oil slick. Please anyone that knows of anything. Contact the Canal and River Trust urgently or email me on email@philbateman.com
