Its with a real sense of concern that I inform you. That the reason the Park Gates on the Ashmore Park are so battered and unsafe. Is because I am informed
A Group of youths started up an excavator, drove it around the Park and rammed the gates.
The crime has been reported to the Police.
It goes without saying to contact the Police if you witnessed this in any small part, or have any photo’s that you think can help them. Better still if you know who it was!
The cost of the demolition and repair will come from Local Counciltax payers. It is a real mess, and I am sorry that it has happened . Vandalism is a nuisance to any community. We really do need to catch the culprits if possible.
I will keep you informed of any outcomes.In the meantime please stay away from the structures. I am informed that the gates and structures will be made safe, by the Park Authorities.
