Would Wednesfield North Residents who use Lakefield Road to get to
work or other such appointments please note that the City Council
are intent on prohibiting traffic between 23rd November until 27th
November 2020. In both directions. The work will be scheduled to take place
between 19,00 in the evening until 05.00am.

A diversionary route is also published.

Traffic Order below. There is going to be a difficult period for residents and
motorists in this part of Wednesfield .

I want my residents in Wednesfield North to know about it early so you
can make an alternative route to your appointments/destinations.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the
Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions)Act 1991, prohibiting
vehicles from proceeding on Lakefield Road in both
directions between its junctions with March End
Road/Wednesfield Way and GreenMeadow.

The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken from 23 November 2020 until 27 November
2020. It is anticipated that the works will be undertaken
from 19:00 until 05:00.

The diversion route is: Waddens Brook Lane, Fibbersley,
Wednesfield Road, Temple Bar, Field Street, Pinson Road,
New Road, Walsall Street, Walsall Road, Clarkes Lane,
Sandbeds Road, HighRoad, Straight Road,Wesley Road,
Cannock Road, Lichfield Road and vice versa.

The Order is required to facilitate surfacing works in
accordance with the Section 278 Agreement, following
works to the highway for a new housing development.
