On Tuesday evening 14 July I received a request for help from a constituent who had observed a group of men armed with ‘air rifles’ or firearms of some sort. They were hunting ducks and other water fowl and birds along the canal (Wyrley & Essington). Between the bridge on Broad Lane North ( The group) were heading towards Castlebridge on the Lichfield Road.
I dialled 999 contacted the Police and requested their immediate help. I will try and find out what happened from the Police….Also on Tuesday evening I received a call from a constituent about an issue with regards to drugs on Ashmore Park and in another location in Wednesfield. Again I have passed the information on.
Finally again with regard to Police issue . I had a request (later in the evening) for a greater Police presence on Whiston Ave following an attempted forced entry in to a home there. I have again with that request passed the matter onto Wednesfield Police.
