Saturday Morning and Good News is here!

Good Morning Wednesfield – Today is Saturday the 30th January. Yesterday I released the first tranche of the results of the testing that took place in the new Corona Virus testing station at The Hub at Ashmore Park. This testing started on the 21st January.

I am keen that members of our community see how important it is that we as a community take a test. I would urge you to take one if you haven’t yet.

Here on Friday the 29th January – The Hub received another 99 members of the community who attended the Covid-19 testing at The Hub There were just 2 persons that tested positive. Which I think is good news.

The station started testing for the first time – on the 21st January and 667 persons have in total now attended this new facility.

• The Cumulative Data since that date confirms that now 667 persons have been tested
• The Positive test to date is 26 persons
• The Negative test to date is 637 persons.
• The Invalid test is 4 Persons

I will bring you the statistics as they are provided to me by the City Council.

My advice remains that residents should continue to test. You can turn up at The Hub seven days after you have had a previous test. The information positively encourages you to take this course of action.

The Testing Station at The Hub is open on Saturday why not pop a long this morning!

Please stay safe, wash your hands and stay at home as much as you can.
