Councillor Phil Bateman Chair of Governors Ashmore Park Nursery reports today that a visit has been arranged here at Ashmore Park Nursery for a Member of the European Parliament Sion Simon to visit school on 25th January at 10.30 am.
Recently Ashmore Park Nursery School federated with Phoenix Nursery School Wolverhampton, and both schools will be represented at the visit. Our schools are involved in an international learning network and this network has been granted European Union Erasmus funding to support our innovative work, researching the potential of digital media to construct ideas and express thinking of young children.
The staff and schools are very much looking forward to the visit, and being able to explain in detail about the work we are undertaking on the International stage with our children.
As our member of the European Parliament, Sion has been invited by the Chair of Governors to visit our school and discover a little bit more about working creatively with young children.
The new Education Director of Wolverhampton City Council has also been invited, so he can see the outstanding practice taking place locally and what we offer to support the development of outstanding Early Years Practice in our city. If there is press and media interest would they please contact Ashmore Park Nursery 01902 558116
