Well it was good for the new Midland Metro to get Royal Recognition, and I thought it must have been a very proud day for former Councillor Angus Adams family to watch as the Sovereign named the tram after him. Angus was a former Chairman of Centro who tragically died during his Dudley Council term of office.

The rain was relentless during the ceremony and everyone got just a little wet!

I was very proud to receive my invitation for the event, the extension of a tram network around the West Midlands County is well overdue. I have a fear that Wolverhampton will be the end of the system if we are not careful. Much more intensive campaigning to get extensions developed in Wolverhampton, is a must if we are not to be left behind.

In the meantime I took great pleasure in seeing Queen Elizabeth on the new tram, even dressing in similarity to the livery!

Well done everyone at Centro National Express and the ITA for getting for me the transport photo shoot of the decade.
