#SpeakingUp4WednesfieldJobs! Tata Board Meets in Mumbai

I think everyone today will have their fingers crossed for Britain’s steel industry with Tata Steel  Board meeting taking place in Mumbai. The crisis in the steel industry has been reported in the media for months.542_133226 Agenda

The Welsh steel town of Port Talbot for one will have its fingers well and truly crossed. But for me I have my eyes fixed on the Tata Steel Wednesfield plant and distribution centre. Its a local site and it is ‘State of the Art.’ My hope that the jobs that are currently there, will be unaffected by decisions.

I know that there will be a lot of local people who will be anxious about jobs across the country, the steel industry is still very much a close knit industry. But if you have a job in British Steel then today will be very worry some. For me my focus is on the future of the Wednesfield site.

So perhaps as you go about your business today, you will harbour some good luck in your heart for those individuals and families who will be waiting to hear from Tata Bosses in India.
