Second bomb fears
Policer fear the Manchester suicide bomber may have built a second device which is now in the hands of fellow jihadists. Officers who raided the home of Salman Abedi discovered a working bomb factory with a large stash of explosive chemicals and other components. Security sources now believe that Abedi assembled the bomb himself after learning his trade in Libya. However the amount of material in his home has led to fears that he could have built more than one device and distributed them to other British-based extremists. “The worry is there was enough to build two or three bombs and we can’t rule that out,” an unnamed security source tells the Daily Telegraph.
Councillor Phil Bateman added ” It is important that we all stay alert, yes it is unlikely that we will be targeted. But the truth is you never know!
I would urge all constituents to be on guard, and if you have any security or safety concerns, then report the matter to the Police, using 101 if it is not urgent. Dial 999 if it is a matter of immediate direct concern. Better we remain safe than sorry!”
