Traffic Enforcement Active On Springhill Estate.

Recently residents on the Spring Hill estate, here in Wednesfield North, requested traffic enforcement regulations be enforced as some local roads became jammed with cars, on corners and with some vehicles blocking many of the pedestrian footpaths, forcing persons with disability, parents with buggies and young children, back onto the road to get around the vehicle obstructing their pedestrian path.

Just before Christmas of 2021 I received written correspondence saying “In Ridge Lane and Wootton Avenue the council have put yellow lines on the bends to stop cars from parking. Now the cars are fully parked on the pavement which is even worse than before!”.

I asked that the Parking Enforcement Team to review and advise on the situation.

City of Wolverhampton Enforcement officers are now patrolling this area. A traffic enforcement team has issued a penalty payment last month, and they continue to visit and take notice of the pedestrian parking situation. Please, have some thought about where you Park your vehicles. Creating an obstruction on the Highway or on the footpath will bring you into conflict with the law.
