Today there is a meeting , an internal meeting, at the City Council so that we can analyse the situation that occurred in Ashmore Park in July when we had a Travellers Incursion on Green Open Space on Kitchen Lane. I shall be attending the meeting which will also have West Midlands Police attending.
Its a good decision to have such a meeting so that we can analyse the issues and understand what lessons there are that can be learned. I am also keen to understand what sort of proposals can be worked up with others on how to prevent any further incursions.
I am keen to hear the Police from a senior levels view of the events in those days.
