Wednesfield Canal Festival August 12th & 13th 2017
Councillor Phil Bateman said “I will be once again running a ‘Wednesfield Canal Festival’ at Bentley Bridge Wednesfield again next year. This time over a full two day week -end.
This will take place on the Saturday 12th August and Sunday 13th August 2017.
I am hoping to see a ‘Floating Market’ established for the two day event. Plus following the success of this year’s Live Music, which really excited me. Live Music will be on stage for the full two days.
I am speaking with a range of Individuals and Groups, including Land Security’s (the landowner) Canal & River Trust, Hands on Wednesfield and Creative Black Country. Hands on Wednesfield and Creative Black Country were the organisations behind this years Live Music. success.
But more from them and me later.
The purpose of this message is very much aimed at the canal based community.
Don’t miss Wednesfield out of your forward plans this year!
This place is going to ‘Rock’ in 2017!
Put our Canal Festival in your diary. Plus remember Wednesfield is a great place to visit if you are on a leisure cruiser or a Narrow -Boat. Good place to re-provision supplies with its exciting shopping, or enjoy the wide range of restaurants, Cinema complex or Ten Pin Bowling, all in sight of good safe Mooring! Lots of boaters are discovering the delights of the Wyrley & Essington canal.
More information will flow as we move to the start of this New Year! Exciting isn’t it!
