IMG_7255 Wednesfield Xmas LightsWell tonight was a great night for the Village, a very big crowd in mild, dry weather, joined the Mayor and Mayoress of Wolverhampton along with Signal Radio’s Dickie Dodd, to switch on the Christmas lights. Prior to this taking place – Mayor Ian Brookfield and Mayoress Councillor Paula Brookfield attended the Christmas carol concert at St Thomas’s Church, before attending the High street event.
It was a very big crowd watching on, certainly many hundreds of Wednesfield residents, with their children appeared to be enjoying the occasion. Mary and I met lots of friends and relatives! along with lots of our constituents.
It was rounded off by a rather fun drink and meal with even more new friends in the Dog & Partridge, where we sat with the Wednesfield ‘crazy gang’ and enjoyed a rather fine ‘curry’. Well done Landlord Kevin Rigby!
