There is always something to do when you are a Councillor in a place like Wednesfield North.
This week has been like that, there has been a deal of criticism across Social Media about the condition of The Ashmore Park.
I have had all the usual cases to deal with. They are very varied – again as they always are, request’s for help includes cases relating to housing problems; crime issues, trees, and highways complaints.
But I have also had the great pleasure of working with The Hub on their performance of The Three Bears, where I became the narrator. This was a huge laugh, and a real pleasure to play a role with families to make our under 10’s laugh, and enjoy themselves, during the school holidays.
Indeed it was a real pleasure, like it was to play a role with Ashmore Library, again in this case a week or so back, to be the guest reader – again for little children of the hugely successful children’s book about The Gruffalo!
Being a local Councillor has made me enjoy life, and it has given me the ability to look much deeper into the community that I also live in. Yes the case work can be complex and often distressing. But against that there is the benefit of knowing that you are doing your best for your community.
