Wednesfield Police – Pulled 7 Vehicles for Speeding in BLN

I am informed by Wednesfield Police that they held a speedwatch in Broad Lane North, following requests from residents. This is what Wednesfield Police have informed me of.

“Yesterday the team spent an hour on Broad Lane North at the junction with Peach Road.
7 Vehicles were pulled over and dealt with accordingly by officers for breaking the 30 mph limit, with speeds varying from 46 mph to 36 mph.
It was very noticeable, that just our presence there had an affect on the driving standards of road users as the majority of vehicles were barely doing 30mph, no doubt having been warned by other drivers of our presence, so we’re happy that maybe, just maybe it makes people think a little more about their speed for the future.
Operations will continue in varying locations in the near future.”
