Mrs Blower the Headteacher of Woodend Primary school in her New Years message to Parents indicated that the construction workers will be off site around Easter, and the new school and the whole site would be back in the hands of the Governors and staff! Now I am sure that the whole school community will be pleased as punch about this snippet of information. Having the school with the new building and clean sight lines will I am sure be exciting for parents children staff and the wider community!

“Welcome back to an exciting 2016. The demolition is well underway and we are looking forward to having our full site back by Easter holidays.
It was pleasing to see lots of end of term certificates for pupils particularly in reading.
I value your support with daily reading with your children—it really helps them.
Next week I will send a full list of diary dates for this term including parent consultation evenings, class assemblies and other key events. I would like to welcome Mrs Horton as the new Year 6 teacher and mathematics co-ordinator.
Thank you for making her feel part of the Wood End team. Again a happy new year to everyone.”
