#WorldWildLifeDay – Save The Tiger!

Tiger C5_fdhmWYAELtwQ

Save The Tiger! I watched this magnificent Big Cat kill this Sambar deer in Ranthanbore in India last month.

The Tiger is the biggest wild cat in the World. In India it has seen its population plunge, as its domain shrinks through human activity. Sadly those Big Cats left in the Wild are having a hard time to survive.

They need wildlife corridors so that the adult males and females can inter change their genes with other Tigers in other reserves, across India and in neighbouring Countries such as Nepal, Bhutan and other states of India.

If #WorldWildlifeDay does anything –  I do hope it presses awareness amongst the Indian and their State Governments to do more to connect Wild Tigers with other Wild Tigers through a network of Wildlife corridors.

If not then we can say good bye to wild tigers across the Indian continent. Now that would be a shame, a criminal shame.
